Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa – City Tour
Welcome to Ethiopia! Upon arrival, enjoy a guided city tour including the National Museum (Lucy), Ethnographic Museum, Holy Trinity Cathedral, panoramic views from Entoto Hills, and a drive through Merkato, Africa’s largest open-air market. Day 2: Fly to Semera – Danakil Depression
Fly to Semera and drive into the Danakil Depression. En route, stop at Lake Afdera. Experience camel caravans and a stunning sunset over Lake Assale. Overnight: Camping (Ahmedela)
Day 3: Dallol & Erta Ale Volcano
Explore the otherworldly landscapes of Dallol, with colorful sulfur pools and salt formations. Continue to Erta Ale Volcano and hike to the crater rim to witness the glowing lava lake. Overnight: Camping near Erta Ale
Day 4: Erta Ale – Semera – Fly to Addis
Early morning lava viewing, then descend and drive to Lake Afdera for hot springs and salt mining observation. Return to Semera and fly back to Addis Ababa. Overnight: Bentark Hotel or similar
Day 5: Drive to Lake Langano
Scenic drive south with visits to Tiya Stelae (UNESCO) and Lake Ziway for birdlife. Relax by Lake Langano.

Day 6: Drive to Arba Minch
Journey through the Great Rift Valley to Arba Minch, known as the “Land of Forty Springs.”

Day 7: Lake Chamo – Turmi (Hamer Tribe)
Morning boat safari on Lake Chamo to see giant crocodiles and hippos. Continue to Turmi and visit the Hamer tribe, famous for their traditions and artistry. Overnight: Emerald Lodge, Turmi
Day 8: Omorate & Karo Tribe
Cross the Omo River by local boat to visit the Dassanech tribe in Omorate. Afternoon visit to the Karo tribe, renowned for body painting. Overnight: Emerald Lodge
Day 9: Turmi – Jinka
Drive to Jinka with stops at colorful tribal markets and a visit to the Ari people, known for farming and craftsmanship.

Day 10: Mursi Tribe – Fly to Addis
Visit the Mursi tribe inside Mago National Park, known for lip plates and Donga stick fighting traditions. Fly back to Addis Ababa. Overnight: Bentark Hotel
Day 11: Fly to Lalibela
Fly to Lalibela, home to extraordinary rock-hewn churches. Begin exploration of this sacred UNESCO site.

Day 12: Lalibela – Yemrehana Kristos
Visit the ancient Yemrehana Kristos Church, then continue touring Lalibela’s iconic churches, including Bet Giyorgis.

Day 13: Fly to Gondar
Fly to Gondar, the medieval royal capital. Visit Fasil Ghebbi castles, Fasilidas’ Bath, and Debre Berhan Selassie Church.

Day 14: Gondar – Bahir Dar & Blue Nile Falls
Drive to Bahir Dar and walk to the majestic Blue Nile Falls (Tissisat). Cross the Nile by boat.

Day 15: Lake Tana Monasteries – Departure
Boat trip on Lake Tana to visit island monasteries on the Zeghie Peninsula. Fly back to Addis Ababa for a farewell cultural dinner, then transfer for international departure.
